Francis A. Wong

Francis is a former member of Senator John F. Kennedy’s staff, retired Hawaii State Senator, and Chairman and CEO of Genesis Hotel Development LLC, an international hospitality and development company. He has co-developed and owned some of the finest hotels in Hawaii, British Columbia and California, including the Maui Marriott and Fairmont Kea Lani. As a graduate of Georgetown College and Law School in Washington, D.C., he was named in the first edition of Best Lawyers in America.

He has served as chair of both the audit and compensation committees of Allied Hotel Properties, Inc., a Canadian public company, and currently serves on the board of the H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation, one of the largest nonprofits east of Los Angeles, California.  He is passionate about sustainability and chairs Hawaiian Legacy Reforestation Initiative, a nonprofit in Hawaii.  Francis is responsible for WellCap’s legal and administrative functions.
